Thanks so much for your message of well-wishing on my birthday! It was greatly appreciated!

These days we've all got cell phones with text messaging and access to services like facebook and myspace, so it doesn't take much to toss someone a quick note on their birthday. Not that I'm knocking the effort. It helps us stay in better touch with our friends and acquaintances.

Of course, it's not the same as a present... but I probably didn't get you anything for your birthday, either, so we're cool.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the love and stay in touch.
