About Me
I am Colin McCloskey. I am an aging youth. A not-quite old, not-quite young former student and current professional.
I am working on transforming this blog into something a bit different. The old blog idea was to post news and observations that trickle down from other avenues of mass media. The new idea is more or less to see what I can make of it as a sounding board for opinions and other self-important crap. In short: I’m changing it from something that was a cool idea into a typical, lame, personal blog, but hoping that along the way that makes it interesting, again.
I conceived, designed, and developed fatDOG, an online literary magazine that had — at its peak — about thirty contributing authors. There are approximately three regular contributors at present, but a rebirth of the site is in the works. It will eventually become the major destination point of thosekids.org.
I also am the creator, game designer, planning, and backer of WOSoMP: The Weekend Olympic Showdown of Massive Proportions. This semi-regular event brings athletes from many different backgrounds together to play a series of faux sports. Games incorporate and combine elements from many different existing sports, but have a feel all their own.
I am roughly 25 years old by birth, a software engineer by trade, and a cynic by nature. But I’m working on changing at least one of those things at all times.
You may be interested in contacting me or performing further stalker-like research on me. You can probably piece together a good bit of information from the following links, none of which tell you the whole story, but some of which provide a good, abridged version:
- My resume
- What I’m doing
- A professional background and profile
- A profile on Facebook
- A profile on another popular social network
- Stories and pictures from a recent trip abroad
- Photos I’ve taken, My Photos of Me, Other Photos of Me, Different Photos of Me
- A song my friend improvised about my family
- Some things I’d like that you might want to buy for me
That’s good for now.
